GAME REVIEW: The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning (E10+)

STORY:
In the game there is a purple dragon called Spyro who doesn't know he's a dragon, and thinks he's a dragonfly for a while. And when he finds out the truth he goes on a quest to find out who and what he is.

GAMEPLAY:
When you're not fighting against the many evil villains, you will be trying to jump to the next platform trying to figure out where in the world you are.

POSTIVE ELEMENTS:
Spyro is a courageous dragon who tries to save the dragons from the evil villain called Cynder, and risks his life to save the dragons from the giant bosses who guard the Dragon Elders. (SPOILER ALERT) When Cynder turns back to her real form and escapes the Dark Master's mind control, Spyro goes back to save her even though she tried to kill him.

SPIRITUAL ELEMENTS:
The Legend of Spyro's story is filled with spiritual elements, there are dragon spirits that are called the Ancients that sent these things called Spirit Gems from the afterlife, that show up when you defeat an enemy. They don't do anything actually spiritual, they just fill up your health and energy points. Also in the level Dante's Freezer, there are undead soldiers and demons but they just as regular (but a bit harder) enemies.

SEXUAL CONTENT:
nothing

VIOLENT CONTENT:
In the game almost all you do is fight against the many minions of Cynder's, when you destroy the enemies all they do just change into Spirit Gems. When you fight you can use your horns, along with your different breaths to attack.

PROFANITY:
Sparx calls someone a jerk once.

OTHER NEGATIVE ELEMENTS:
There is a cutscene near the end where Sparx says that Cynder is sexy, and also Cynder and some of the bosses and enemies may scare a couple of people. And also there is a part on a world called Convexity, when you're near the end you can hear the Dark Master whispering "Spyro, Spyro." That is on the tad on the creepy side.

CONCLUSION:
This game is a lot of fun to play if you ignore the spirtual elements littered around in the game and if you don't mind 'button-mashing' through a whole game. I give this game 4.5 out of 5 stars.
